Hello classmates and welcome to Thinking Class. Today I'm speaking with
. James is a social commentator and writer, the co-founder of Thoughtful Therapists and the coordinator of the Declaration for Biological Reality. In this episode, James and I talk about why he was expelled from a Masters in Psychotherapy three years ago, the personal consequences he suffered for airing his gender critical views, the extent of ideological capture of Britain's largest institutions, what compelled James to speak up and the nature of bravery, how the Overton window on transgenderism has shifted, but not for everyone, the need for CEOs and leaders of corporations to de-politicise their business, and why James changed his mind on the usefulness of psychotherapy, and much, much more.
You'll hear in the conversation just how much I admire James, yet it's worth saying again here. Because acting in the interests of others without any regard for personal honour, or the negative consequences you'll suffer for putting your head above the parapet, is to be courageous and to be driven by the good. And in the last three years, James has suffered consequences most of us wouldn't bear. But I'm glad that he's been vindicated in some way, having received a public apology from the institute that expelled him from his studies. So I'll keep my fingers crossed that James gets the success he deserves. Enjoy the show Classmates. And don't forget to subscribe.
